Our Therapy Services

I specialize in providing effective psychotherapy tailored to your needs. I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy which allows me to pull from several different modalities as each client's needs and experiences are different.

As I have a great deal of experience working with those with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, you will primarily see me using techniques from Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and more. I am currently completing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and cannot wait to bring these services to more of my clients.

At this time we offer a safe and supportive virtual environment but hope to offer in person availability in the near future.

Important Note

While we do not treat eating disorders or substance use we can absolutely provide referrals to those with greater experience in these areas.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients to understand the interaction and impact of ones thoughts, feelings, and behaviors on one another. This model allows clients to learn strategies to help recognize automatic negative thoughts and gain control over their reactions and responses to said thoughts.

ERP Therapy

Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy allows clients to face their fears and intrusive thoughts head on while also teaching client that they can tolerate the feelings of discomfort. This therapy is very proactive. Clients will experience exposure within session and in between sessions while also learning to resist engaging in safety behaviors or compulsions. Often thought of as the gold standard treatment for OCD

EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization. This therapy uses bilateral stimulation (BLS), a sensory input that alternately stimulates both sides of the body, to help reprocess past trauma that may be interfering in ones current life.

EMDR trusts in the idea that under the right circumstances the brain will heal itself, just like any other part of the body. While this therapy is often recommended for those with a history of trauma and PTSD, it can also be used to treat anxiety, depression, OCD, Panic Disorders and more.

One of the main differences of EMDR and traditional talk therapy is it's ability to promote healing without having to discuss every detail of our past trauma.

Why Go Out-of-Network

Therapy is an investment in yourself

For some people, choosing to pay privately creates greater freedom and flexibility in therapy. Rather than having your care shaped by insurance requirements, we can focus on what you’re experiencing, what you want to understand, and where you want to go from here.

Private pay also allows for greater privacy and the freedom to choose a therapist based on connection, expertise, and the kind of support you’re looking for.
